Sunday, March 7th, 2010: Set list change
Hey there,
We're in Bordeaux today and have decided to change up the setlist a bit. Analyse, Liar, Time is Ticking Out, Desperate Andy and Promises have all been introduced. They were sounding pretty good at soundcheck so they should be fine tonight.
There has been a great reaction from all the European fans so far and it's been a lot easier for us to tour here as we have our own busses. The South American tour was very tough because we were flying everywhere and even had a few flights on the same day as the show which was a bit bizarre. Unfortunately all that travelling took it's toll and Dolores got a throat infection but we will be going back in September so apologies to anyone who has to wait another few months.
Take care,
Fergal.

Wednesday, February 3rd, 2010: My God....The Heat!!!!
Tonight in Porto Alegre was the hottest gig we have played in a long, long time. It was 45 degrees centigrade today and the humidity was stifling, but it was an amazing show. The audiences here in South America have been incredible for every gig. Singing, chanting, dancing, it's just fantastic. It's an honour to play to a crowd like that. It has been tough going so far, lots of traveling on planes and in vans so unfortunately we haven't had enough time to enjoy Brasil but from what we've seen and the people we have met it is a beautiful place full of friendly faces.
We are off to Argentina tomorrow so I will be eating some of that famously delicious beef tomorrow night for sure!

Tuesday, January 26th, 2010: First night in Chile
Hey there,
Just finished dinner and now sitting in the dressing room counting down the minutes until our first concert of the South American tour. Santiago is beautiful, it reminds me of Spain but it is a much bigger city than Madrid or Barcalona. Everyone we've met here has been really friendly and welcoming. I have always wanted to backpack around here so when my children are older I will definitely come back to visit. We were working on some new songs at soundcheck and discussing the possibility of fitting some recording time into our busy touring schedule.
Well, I'd better start warming up for the gig.
Take care,
Fergal.
